Let’s Play Catch Up!

It’s been a minute since I’ve blogged, so let me see if I can get ya’ll up caught up.
Marcus is doing great! His energy levels are through the roof. They’ve taken the catheter out his chest and using his fistula. He is still on dialysis, we are waiting on a kidney, but we know God is able.
Mia is doing so much better. She has a bounce in her step and a smile that is contagious. Going to school and her job really does agree with her.
I went on a mini-vacation and visited my best friend in Florida. I haven’t seen her in about three years. We both cried like babies when we saw each other.
Growing up, she was the girl all the guys would gravitate to. But on this trip, it was so opposite! It was nuts!!! I don’t even know how to process it.
I made sure they saw my wedding ring, but it didn’t matter! (jack legs)
She said it was because the men down there loved them some dark skin women. Personally, I don’t think that’s true. Either way, it was a trip, and I couldn’t wait to get home to tell Marcus about it.
Overall, we had a good time. I really missed that girl.
My podcast is doing well, and I still haven’t written one word in my book. I got to make time to write.
Sierra and Toni, my other two daughters, are doing great! And Ziya, my granddaughter, is cute as a button! I miss her tiny little face.
My son, KJ, is still M.I.A. It hurts. I pray for him daily.
My stepsons are awesome, and my in-laws are too dope!
Mommy is still battling Alzheimer’s. I saw her this past weekend, and she had no idea who I was. I know it’s the disease, but it still breaks my heart.
I do get concerned that this disease is hereditary, not going to lie. But I know that’s the devil messing with me. I refuse to let him do that. I will not live in fear.
There! You are now all caught up…LOL
Be Blessed!
