Antoine “AJ” Jefferson was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where terms such as determination, perseverance, and faith became the foundation of his life. Growing up in Brownsville Brooklyn, AJ played basketball for Bishop Loughlin Memorial HS and briefly for Long Island University.

Overcoming depression, low self-esteem, and gang affiliation AJ accepted the call to Christ and moved to Baltimore, MD. AJ’s first ministry is his family. “Balance is everything, and I am constantly reminded not to spend too much time dreaming and regret missing important times as a husband and father.” AJ is a proud AAU basketball coach and uses life lessons to promote self-discipline and respect on and off the basketball court.

October of 2015, God-inspired AJ to lead a team of leaders to launch a radio station called Awesome God Radio (AGR). AGR is a faith-based community of churches, authors, pastors, inspirational speakers, and gospel music artists. AGR currently has over 20 shows, 100K+ listeners to date, and broadcasts 24/7 from several locations on the East Coast. After being on air for only 18 months, AGR was nominated for a Stellar Award in 2017.

Today we contribute significantly within the Baltimore area by partnering with organizations that call for peace and to evangelize throughout the community. AJ is the host of The Good Life Gospel Show that airs every Saturday at 9 am EST on AwesomeGodRadio.com.

AJ has a bachelor’s degree from the North Carolina College of Theology and currently attends the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University for his Masters in Divinity. AJ is the proud husband to Travina “Kay” Jefferson, father to Jaylen and Avery Jefferson, and bonus dad to Kennedy Dunlap, Lavontrae, and Jaylen Wiggins.
